The idea
Deep violet-black space crossed by a fine cyan lattice, with a 3D render of interlocking glass nodes as the hero. Squared technical display type, smoked-glass panels and live-looking chain data in mono give it the weight of infrastructure rather than hype. Serious money, moving quietly.
Protocol Ether presents a crypto protocol as serious infrastructure. A deep violet-black void, a fine cyan lattice grid, a full-bleed render of interlocking glass nodes and live-looking chain data everywhere. Squared, technical display type reads as engineered; smoked-glass panels hold the copy. It borrows from network diagrams, scientific visualisation and the architecture of clearing houses, deliberately avoiding coins, rockets and meme energy. It should feel like a system you could trust with a billion dollars.
Principles
- Show the chain: block heights, validator counts, finality times.
- Cyan means action and liveness; violet is depth and atmosphere.
- No coins, no rockets, no moons, no 'to the moon' copy.
- Every yield figure carries 'est.' and a risk note.
- Glass panels over the lattice; never text directly on the render.
Motion
A ticker of live-looking blocks (height, validators, finality time) scrolls under the nav. In the hero, light pulses along the lattice edges between glass nodes every 2.4 seconds — one pulse per block.
Do & don't
Do
- ✓ Show a live-looking block ticker under the nav.
- ✓ Label every yield as an estimate with a risk note nearby.
- ✓ Use mono and tabular figures for all chain data.
Don't
- ✕ Don't show coins, rockets or moons.
- ✕ Don't promise returns or use 'guaranteed' for yields.
- ✕ Don't place text directly on the bright render.
